Can any part be considered a luxury?<\/p>\n<p>From the standpoint of the patient, if you need some particular medicine or procedure to recover fully, then by definition it would be a necessity.<\/p>\n<p>But I wonder, how much of the price escalation in healthcare is because tests and treatments that once were extraordinary are now commonplace, i.e., once were luxuries but now are
